Membership to a Lions club is open to adults over 18 who want to help the community – whether you are male, female, able bodied or not so able bodied.
If you have enthusiasm to help others in the community then you are most welcome to come along to a club meeting and see what we are all about. No conditions apply - the “hard sell” is really not our way.
If you are interested in joining our club first contact the Secretary and perhaps organise a time to come along and attend our next meeting…. we promise to make you feel very welcome.

The Lions Club of Forest Hill is committed to helping people and endeavours to enjoy the process along the way. In fact we’ve been doing it for nearly 40 years!
Assistance to the community develops in all shapes and sizes - like a tank for a local school, a BBQ for a park or an education award for an outstanding student…… or fundraising for an organisation like Eastern Palliative Care. Even on an international level via combined Lions Clubs working towards fundraising for macular degeneration. Or when an individual person needs specific assistance and doesn’t have other options available.
You would be part of a team that wants to contribute to their community. Many people think about assisting……we can help you stop thinking and start doing.
If you can allocate a little bit of time towards helping others it quickly adds up to a lot of time when combined with other people.
Not all club members are physically able to contribute 100% - but everyone has something to offer the team. As an example, a long standing club member named Colin Rose, who has been a quadriplegic for 40 odd years, was our club President in the 2006/2007 year. Every person has something they can contribute in the way of time, skills, abilities or good old fashioned know how.
So if you breathe and want to help people – think about joining the Lions because you will be most welcome.
Our club has a wealth of experience in assisting the community – so the framework and guidance processes are there. All that’s required is for enthusiastic people to put up their hand and become part of our great team…. the only pre-requisite is a smile!
If you are interested in joining the Lions Club of Forest Hill it’s simply a matter of contacting the Secretary, perhaps coming along to see the team in action a time or two, and having an application approved. Official induction is like a family welcome.
